PURPOSE:To reduce an error in positioning and obtain high track density by stacking two stages of transducers having large and small gap lengths at the same positions of magnetic head sliders, and obtaining servo information and data information. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic head sliders 24 and 25 arranged on magnetic double- layer disks are equipped with transducers 26 and 28 for data recording and reproduction which have small gap length and transducers 27 and 29 for servo signal reproduction which have large gap length at the same positions in two stages. Then, only the servo information is obtained by the transducers 27 and 29 to position the transducers 26 and 28, eliminating an error in the positioning of the magnetic head. |
