<p>The valve housing (1) has an inlet branch (2) and outlet branch (3) both connected to an internal spherical cavity (4). Inside the cavity fits a sphere (15) with an internal upward open cavity (6) which is connected to the branches (2,3). An actuating spindle (9) fits inside the sphere cavity. The bottom of the spindle supports a throttle cagwith respective apertures (23,24) aligned with bores (7,8) of the sphere, and in line with branches. When the sphere is turned through 90 degrees, the cage blocks the connection between the two branches.</p> |
