The invention relates to the construction of internal combustion engines. The air filter the subject of the invention is characterised in that the distance between the axis of the inlet hose 2 and the bottom 6 of the cylindrical body 1 is from 0.1 to 0.3 L, while L is the height of the cylindrical body 1, whereas the segment of the outlet hose 4 arranged inside the cylindrical body 1 is in the immediate vicinity of the plane passing through the middle of the cylindrical body 1, perpendicular to its axis, and is offset, along the axis of the cylindrical body 1 and towards the end cover 3, by a value 0.2 to 0.4 d, where d is the internal diameter of the outlet hose 4.
