PURPOSE:To detect properly information on a color in a fine area by employing an optical fiber with a small opening aperture as a light projecting optical fiber bundle and an optical fiber with a large opening aperture for a light receiving optical fiber bundle. CONSTITUTION:The light receiving optical fiber bundle 4 is disposed coaxially in the vicinity of the light projecting optical fiber bundle 3. On the end surface of a detecting head 1 the light projecting fiber bundle 3 is formed with the optical fiber having an optically small opening aperture, while the light receiving optical fiber bundle 4 is formed with the optical fiber having an optically large opening aperture. With this constitution a reference light beam led by the light projecting optical fiber bundle 3 develops a fine and uniform lighting spot on a surface to be detected, and the reflected light beam including the information on a color makes efficiently incident on the light receiving optical fiber 4. |
