Portable inhaler for powdered medicaments - from capsule vibrated and rotated by inhaled air streams

Pocket portable inhaler is for administering a medicinal powder supplied in a capsule. The inhaler comprises a chamber which is loaded with a powder capsule prior to securing the mouthpiece tube on top of the chamber, and means for perforating the capsule to release the powder, e.g. spring-loaded push-buttons with needle plungers to project into the capsule chamber. The chamber has tangentially-disposed air inlets through which air streams are drawn as a patient inhales through the mouthpiece, the air streams creating a turbulence which rotates and vibrates the capsule. The inhaler enables a patient to treat respiratory complaints with medicinal powder.
