Machine-to-ground transfer device adapted to the shoe of a machine for planting plants in earth balls or in pots, avoiding the tipping of the earth balls when placing them in the hollow of the furrow. It comprises a depositing plate or reference plate 4 located in the plane containing the bottom of the furrow associated with a mechanism for driving the earth ball in longitudinal translation taking the latter at a speed equal to or slower than the forward speed of the machine from its point of depositing on the reference plate to a point 4a at which the said earth ball is supported by the earth along the edges of the two sides of the furrow and taken into the axis of the latter by means of skim coulters, disk-wheels or other devices. <IMAGE>
