Injection of plastics. The injection unit comprises: - a cylinder 1 divided by means of a piston 6 into a chamber 8, for injection into a mould, and into a chamber 7 for transfer with respect to an extruder 11; - a rod 13 connecting the piston 6 to a ram (thrust cylinder) 14; - a valve 19 for closing holes 12 made in the piston 6; - a transfer jacket 23 sliding along the rod 13 and into the chamber 7; - a ram (thrust cylinder) 25 for controlling the jacket.
