PURPOSE:To improve the durable adhesive property of an Ni-Cr alloy to an adhesive resin by electrolytically etching the alloy with dil. nitric acid. CONSTITUTION:An Ni-Cr alloy used for dental filling is electrolytically etched with about 0.5-1.0 N dil. nitric acid at about 100-200mA/cm<2> current density. By the etching, Ni in the surface layer of the alloy is dissolved, a large amount of Cr is left and an oxide film of Cr2O3 is formed. Thus, excessive undercut is eliminated and the durable adhesive property of the Ni-Cr alloy to an adhesive is improved.
|
