Attached to the side wall of a drawer, mounted on telescopic rails, or to movable parts (9') of the telescopic rail (9) is a latch (1) in the form of a single-arm lever which can be pivoted about an axis perpendicular to the direction of movement of the drawer and whose lever arm has a recess (4), which widens towards its free end, and a latch edge (8) which runs parallel to the swivel axis and is supported in the operating position against a shoulder (15) in the frontal plane of the housing containing the drawers. When the drawer is being pushed in or pulled out, a turning pin, attached to the inner housing wall, enters the recess (4) and turns the latch (1) through about 180 DEG from the operating position into a position of rest or vice versa. The invention serves for locking a drawer in a defined, in particular completely pulled-out, position. <IMAGE>
