PURPOSE:To obtain a thermally color-changing printed matter assuming a color change between two phases of a black-and-white image and a color image due to a change in temperature, by a method wherein three kinds of thermally color-changing black inks respectively containing coloring agents of cyan, magenta, and yellow and three kinds of thermally color-changing coloring agents in single or mixed form reversibly transiting from orange, green, and violet, which are complementary colors of cyan, magenta, and yellow, to be colorless and a Japanese ink, as necessary, are overlapped to be printed on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:In a temperature range below color-changing temperatures of thermally color- changing coloring agents of orange, green, and violet, respective thermally color-changing inks assume black by being complemented by respective coloring agents of cyan, magenta, and yellow in coloring conditions which are the complementary colors of the aforesaid colors and, therefore, an original assumes a black-and-white phase. In a temperature range above the color-changing temperatures, the orange, green, and violet are to be colorless and, therefore, a printing image assumes the phase of the original made of color images consisting of three primary colors of cyan, magenta, and yellow (four colors, if a Japanese if is used.) If the color-changing temperatures are set to, for example, 40-50 deg.C, a printed matter assumes black-and white images at a room temperature of the order of 20 deg.C; if a heat of 50 deg.C or above is applied, the printed matter assumes color images. |
