The handle (1) has two stop edges (18). A protractor (2) is fitted in place in the handle (1). The protractor (2) has scales for the angular degree graduation (13) and an additional millimetre scale (12). The latter starts from a bore (7) for a drawing-pencil insert. The bore (7) is provided in an angle (3) rotatably arranged about the axis (6). Thus the millimetre scale (12) can indicate the respective distance between a workpiece edge and the bore (7) for the drawing-pencil insert. The selected angular degree position or the millimetre distances can be locked on the protractor edge. The angle (3) can be turned through 90 DEG at the protractor so that the half circumference can be divided into angular degrees. Together with an insert bore (7) for the drawing pencil in the angle (3), so-called pierce holes (10) in a scale (15), which can be precisely adjusted by displacement, at an edge of the angle serve to mark out parallel lines. <IMAGE>
