PURPOSE:To enable to secure safety of the operator, by a method wherein a cutter operaion restraining body is made to interfere with a part of a power- transmitting mechanism extending from a driving part to a cutter in conjunction with an operation of a cutter-fitting base. CONSTITUTION:At the time of inspection or repair for coping with a jam, replacing a ribbon 17 or the like, a pawl 31 is detached from the cutter-fitting base 13 by opening a locking lever 32 outward, and the base 13 is turned with a support shaft 14 as a center to open a front side of a printing part, whereby the cutter operation restraining body 36 is turned by a spring 37, and a restraining piece 39 is brought into the locus of rotational motion of a lever 20, that is, the piece 39 is made to interfere with the operation of pressing a stamp 24 against a receipt paper and cutting the paper by the cutter 25. Accordingly, even when a safety switch is intentionally turned ON for confirming a printing action and a solenoide 19 is energized, the movement of the lever 20 is restrained, and the operator can be protected from being injured by the cutter 23. |
