PURPOSE:To prevent double feed by reversing a conveyance member after releasing it from its contact with a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A conveyance member 8 is released from contact with a recording medium PA before said medium reaches a recording position, while a rotation driving source 10 furnishes the conveyance member 8 with turning force in the direction reverse to that at the time of conveyance after releasing said member 8 from contact with said recording medium PA so that more than two recording media PA are prevented from being fed together to the recording position. Thus, double feed of the recording medium can be prevented by a simple structure, and reliability of the device is improved. |
