PURPOSE:To increase the out-of-roundness of a worked hole and the working efficiency by closely arranging the layer of the substance having high laser transmissivity of laser beam on the surface of the material to be worked, then by irradiating laser beam through the substance layer thereof. CONSTITUTION:The transparent glass sheet 5 having high transmissivity for a laser beam is arranged with its close contact on the material 4 to be worked. The laser beam transmitted from the laser oscillator 1 for machining is irradiated with its condensation on the surface of the material 4 to be worked through the glass sheet 5 via a plane mirror 2 and condenser lens 3. The energy of the laser beam is effectively utilized due to the glass sheet 5 closely arranged on the upper part of the material 4 to be worked preventing the expulsion of the melted body and evaporated body by the laser beam. The energy distribution is equalized moreover. The out-of-roundness of the worked hole is therefore increased and the working efficiency can be increased as well. |
