The present invention describes a diagnostic method for determining the functional state of the kidney. Measurement data which provide information on the individual functional state of the kidney, allow prognostic assessment of the progress of a kidney disorder and permit assessment of the result of therapeutic measures are continuously determined on predetermined urine and plasma samples from the patient.
