PURPOSE:To enhance adaptability to high-speed recording, by providing a recording layer comprising a colorless or light-colored basic dye, a specified phthalate coloration agent and a hindered phoenol compound or the like on a base. CONSTITUTION:A coating liquid comprising a colorless or light-colored basic dye, a color reaction agent of the formula, wherein each of R1 and R2 is a 1-8C alkyl group, a phenyl group or a benzyl group, and at least one of 1-bis(4- hydroxy-henyl)cyclohexane and a hindered phenol compound, is prepared. The coating liquid is applied to the base such as a paper and a plastic film in a dry weight of 2-12g/m<2>, preferably, 3-10g/m<2>, to provide the recording layer. An overcoat layer may be provided on the recording layer for protecting the recording layer or for other purposes. |
