PURPOSE:To produce a flexible tube which has a narrow diameter but is not buckled, by softening or fusing thermally softening member parts of a braided tube, which is braided with soft strands where cores are coated with thermally softening members, into one body to form a braided tube. CONSTITUTION:Braided tube strands 15 are braided around the outside circumference of a flex 13, which is wound spirally around the outside circumference of a core bar 12 and is formed, while feeding the flex 13 by rollers 14, thus forming a braided tube 16. The braided tube 16 formed on the outside circumference of the flex 13 by a braider 17 is heated by a die heater 20 as a heating shaper, and thermally softening coatings 19 coating cores 18 of braided tube strands 15 are melted and softened or fused there to make the braided tube 16 into one body, and the braided tube 16 is brought closely into contact with the outside circumference of the flex 13, and the outside form is shaped. A flexible tube 23 formed in this manner is cooled by a water-cooled cooler 21, thus completing a flexible tube for endoscope which is difficult to buckle and is not bulky and has a narrow diameter. |
