The invention relates to a vehicle wheel with pneumatic tyres, with a rigid rim and with a radial tyre with a single-layer or multi-layer radial carcass which is anchored in the tyre beads by having bead cores wrapped around it. In the said tyre, the radial tyre is arranged with its beads on rim seating faces which are located on the radially inner circumference of the wheel rim next to rim flanges which extend radially or obliquely inwards. In order to protect the tyre in the region of the rim flanges, it is proposed that the radial tyre should have a wall thickening running around in the circumferential direction of the tyre in the outside region to the side of each rim flange.
