PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity and superior in durability by incorporating a specified disazo pigment as an electrostatic charge generating substance and at least one of three specified kinds of compds. as a charge transfer substance in a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:A compd. used as a charge generating layer is represented by formula I in which A1 is a group of formula II or the like; X is an atomic group necessary to form an optionally substd. aromatic ring or hetero ring condensed with a benzene ring; Y is -CON(R<4>, R<5>) or -COOR<5>; R<4> is H, alkyl, or the like; and R<5> is alkyl or an optionally substd. aromatic or hetero ring. A compd. used as a charge transfer substance is represented by any of formulae III, IV, and Vin which R<6> is alkoxy or optionally substd. amino; R<7>, R<8> are each H, halogen, alkyl, or the like; R<9> is H, alkyl, or optionally substd. phenyl; R<10>, R<11> are each optionally substd. alkyl or the like; R<12> is 1-4C alkyl or halogen; and A2 is a condensed 5- or 6-membered hetero ring. A photosensitive layer superior in photoconductive characteristics is obtained by incorporating the charge generating substance and the charge transfer substance in the same layer or each in separate layers, respectively to form a laminated layer. |
