<p>PURPOSE:To reduce a signal-transfer processing time, by providing a means changing over a frequency of a dot clock signal, which is used when data is transferred to a printer, to a frequency corresponding to the accuracy of the inputted data. CONSTITUTION:When a signal-expansion processing circuit 3 detects that data outputted from a signal source 1 through an interface 2 is 16 line/mm compressed data, a dot clock frequency conversion circuit 4 generates 16-load pulses within a fixed unit time and sends 16-data to a laser beam printer 6 via an I/F circuit 5. On the other hand, if the data from the signal source 1 is detected to be 8 line/mm compressed data, the conversion circuit 4 makes a dot clock frequency one half through the signal-expansion processing circuit 3 and transfers 8-data within the unit time. In this manner, the processing time in the signal-expansion processing circuit 3 can be reduced to a large extent, and two or more data with different printing accuracies can be made adaptable with the printing accuracy of a printer.</p> |
