<p>A mechanical hand for processing edges of a curved plate, is attached to the hand supporting member of a robot arm and is moved along the edges of the curved plate, made of glass, ceramics, metal or the like. The mechanical hand has a fixed bracket fixed to the hand supporting member; a movable bracket supported by the fixed bracket so as to be capable of tilting around a point of processing which is determined to be on the axial line of the robot arm and which corresponds to part of the edges of the curved plate; a processing tool mounted on the movable bracket to face the part of the edges of the curved plate at the point of processing; and a driving means for causing the movable bracket to tilt so that the posture of the processing tool coincids with a surface of the edges to be processed of the curved plate at the point of processing.</p> |
