PURPOSE:To record with high resolution and excellent uniformity, by laminating a transfer recording material having a two-layer construction consisting of a base layer and an ink layer (in the order of from the recording electrode side to the other side) or a three-layer construction consisting of a base layer, an intermediate layer and an ink layer (in the abovementioned order) and a recording object on each other. CONSTITUTION:A current-sensitized transfer recording material 1 having the two-layer construction of the base layer 11 and the ink layer 13 or a current- sensitized transfer recording material 1' having the three-layer construction of the base layer 11, the intermediate layer 12 and the ink layer 13, is produced. Then, the ink layer 13 is brought into close contact with the recording object 2, a return circuit electrode 4 is brought into contact with the base layer 11, and a current signal from a recording impressed voltage 5 is passed to the base layer 11 in the manner of a recording current. When an electric current is passed to the recording material 1', the current is spread and the current density is reduced, as the return circuit electrode 4 is approached. The ink is softened or melted by the Joule heat thus generated, and is transferred onto the object 2, thereby producing an image corresponding to the current signal. |
