The herbicide contains at least one herbicidal active substance selected from the group comprising the thiocarbamate, substituted urea, substituted triazine, chloroacetanilide and uracil types, furthermore, in an amount of 1-50 % relative to the weight of the herbicidal active substance, at least one antidote of the general formula <IMAGE> in which X represents a hydroxyl, amino-, C1-5 alkylamino, di(C1-5)alkylamino, C1-5 hydroxyalkylamino or C1-5 alkoxy-(C1-5)alkylamino group and Y represents a hydrogen or halogen atom or a C1-5 alkyl or nitro group, in a total amount of 10-90 % by weight, together with auxiliaries in such an amount that they account for the remainder to 100%.
