Gas-generating metal electrode

A gas-generating metal electrode comprises hollow profiled sections arranged parallel to one another in a horizontal plane and interconnected by a current distributor. The faces of the profiled sections facing the counterelectrode are curved, the curvature being greater at the sides than in the centre. At the top, the profiled section is terminated by two side faces emerging tangentially from the curvature. The electrode is suitable as anode for chlorine-alkali electrolysis amalgam cells.
