<p>The reaction vessel is provided with a partition to separate a sub-chamber from the reaction chamber of the vessel. The sub-chamber also contains lamellar flowbacks for the separation of liquid and biomass. Clean liquid is collected in troughs at the top end inside of the flowbacks and is transported via a circular trough to a discharge spigot. Biomass is discharged via sludge pockets which open directly into the reaction chamber.</p>
