PURPOSE:To compress three-dimensionally and equally a material to be compressed and to reduce overall the volume thereof by compressing said material from three-dimensional directions. CONSTITUTION:A material 19 to be compressed is loaded to a loading station R. The completion of the loading is detected by a sensor and a command for energizing is given to the 1st compressing cylinder 12. A piston rod 18 extends and a pressing jig 20 captures the material 19 and feeds the same to a compressing station P and at the same time compresses the material in theY-axis direction by the cooperative action with a supporting plate 46. The two 2nd compressing cylinders 14, 14 facing each other are also energized at a suitable timing, by which the material 19 is compressed in the X-axis direction. The curved surfaces coinciding with the outside surface of the material 19 are recessed to the pressing jigs 20, 26, 26 and the plate 46. The 3rd compressing cylinder extends a piston rod to compress the material in the direction of vertical one axis Z after the compression in the directions of horizontal two axes X, Y of the material 19 is completed, by which the volume of said material is reduced. |
