PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which enables optimum formation of a metallic sheet by the constitution consisting of supporting the axle boxes of a lower roll with hydraulic pistons, detecting the position of the pistons, positioning the lower roll and correcting further the positions at the front and rear ends. CONSTITUTION:Axle boxes 3 to which a lower roll 5 is pivotally fitted are supported by fluid pressure pistons and are provided liftably with a roll forming machine which forms a metallic sheet S between upper and lower rolls 4 and 5. The detected values from detectors 17 for the position of said pistons 7 and pressure detectors 14 for oil pressure as well as the set value from a position setter 10, etc. are inputted to a relational calculator 12 which controls a servocontrol valve 8 provided to a hydraulic pipeline 9 thereby positioning said roll 5 so that the roll gap meeting the characteristic, etc. of the sheet S is attained. The amt. of the rolling reduction to be corrected which varies with pipe passage, stationary state and pass-through of the tail end is outputted from a function generator 11 for correcting the front and rear ends by which the position setting is corrected and the trumpet-shape at the front and rear ends of the sheet S is eliminated. |
