发明名称 PRODUCTION OF CREEP-RESISTANT AL ALLOY CONDUCTOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide improved adhesion to a casting mold, increased rate of solidification and improved creep characteristic in the stage of casting continuously and Al alloy contg. limited components with a water-cooled casting mold consisting of a metallic belt moving in contact with a rotary casting mold wheel having a hollow groove on the circumferential surface by specifying the relation between the pouring temp. into the casting mold and the thickness of the belt. CONSTITUTION:An Al alloy contg., by weight, either 1 or 2 kinds of 0.08-1.0% Fe and 0.01-0.5% Zr and consisting of the balance Al and impurities is cast in such a way that the relation between the thickness (t)mm. of a belt and a pouring temp. T1 deg.C satisfies the equation I where the m.p. of said alloy or the temp. at which the solidification of the alloy starts is designated as T0 deg.C. The solidified shell having a large size is then formed to improve the adhesion to a casting mold. The probable reason for such improvement is as follow: The center of the belt bulges on account of a difference in temp. between the center of the belt with which the molten metal contacts and the end parts of the belt with which the molten metal does not contact. The size of the solidified shell increases accordingly and the solidified shell is tightened into the casting mold, by which the cooling is accelerated.
