PURPOSE:To make the display of the remaining fuel quantity accurate, by making the number of display segments to be a number, which is obtained by multiplying the number that is obtained by subtracting 1 from a specified number by integer times; when the ratio of the remaining quantity in a tank with respect to the total capacity of the fuel is made to be one over specified number at the time bar indication is EMPTY. CONSTITUTION:The remaining quantity when the display is E (EMPTY) is usually made to be 1/8 the full capacity of a tank. When the display is E-1/4, the fuel capacity corresponds to 1/8. As a result, the capacity of the fuel between 1/4-1/2, 1/2-3/4, and 3/4-FULL becomes 2/8, respectively. Then, the entire length of the display segments of a bar display device 1 is divided at a ratio of 1 with respect to the capacity of 1/8. The number of the display segments 1a with respect to the capacity of 1/8 is made to be 2. Then the bar display device 1 is constituted by the total of 14 display segments 1a. In this way, a characteristic C can be obtained, and the remaining fuel in the tank is made to agree with the bar graph display. Thus the remaining fuel quantity can be accurately displayed. |
