NEW MATERIAL:A protein produced by a bacterium belonging to the genus Bacillus, promoting extracellular production of extracellular protease. USE:A reagent for promoting extracellular production of protease. PREPARATION:For example, DNA from Bacillus natto (IFO 3936) is digested with restriction enzyme EcoRI and it is linked to plasmid PTL12 treated with alkali phosphatase digested with EcoRI. The recombinant plasmid is introduced into Bacillus subtilis and a strain to produce protease well. The plasmid of the transformed Bacillus subtilis is treated to give plasmid PNC61. Further, it is digested with restriction enzymes EcoRI and HindIII to give a DNA fragment to code a protein promoting extracellular production of forming protease. It is inserted into a developing vector and the transformed strain into which the developing vector is introduced is cultivated to give a protein to promote extracellular production of extracellular protease. |
