摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of knocking and to maintain constant fuel consumption performance, by smoothing the swirl of each cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A suction port 7 and a recess 4 are formed symmetrically against an axis l1 perpendicular with the cylinder row in the first and second cylinders A, B. Similarly, in the third and fourth cylinders C, D, they are formed symmetrical against the axis l2 perpendicular with the cylinder row. A suction manifold 8 is formed with first branches 10, 10 branched symmetrically from main suction path 9 common to all cylinders A, B, C, D and second branches 11, 11, 11, 11, branched symmetrically from the first branches 10, 10 where the downstream end of each of the second branches 11, 11, 11, 11 are coupled to the suction port 7, 7, 7, 7 of each cylinder A, B, C, D.
