PURPOSE:To obtain a plate group which uniformly keeps proper pressure by covering a plate group with a heat shrinking tube and shrinking the tube by heating with the plate group pressed. CONSTITUTION:A plate group 2 is covered with a heat shrinking tube 1 comprising polyvinyl chloride, and heated at 200-240 deg.C with the plate group pressed at 5% larger pressure than that required to both end plates of the plate group. After the tube was shrunk, they are cooled at 50 deg.C or less, then pressure is removed. By this process, the electrode group 2 keeps its thickness same as that kept when pressure was applied by shrinkage of the tube 1. Since dimension of the tube is 5% larger than that of plate group, insertion of the tube to the plate group is made easy. |
