Compounds of the formula <IMAGE> wherein R and R9 are independently hydroxy and lower alkoxy, R1 and R2 are independently hydrogen, lower alkyl, aryl-lower alkyl having from 7 to 12 carbon atoms, or heterocyclic-lower alkyl having from 6 to 12 carbon atoms, R3, R4, R5, R7 and R8 are hydrogen or lower alkyl, R6 is heterocyclic and their pharmaceutically acceptable, nontoxic acid addition salts and where R or R9 or both are hydroxy, their pharmaceutically acceptable, nontoxic basic salts, possess antihypertensive activity.
