PURPOSE:To prevent a change in the characteristics of a transistor and to simplify the manufacturing stage by forming a resin layer having a part which absorbs light incident on the semiconductor part of a semiconductor driving circuit on the 1st substrate having dot electrodes. CONSTITUTION:This liq. crystal display panel has dot electrodes 4, 4''' connected to a drain electrode and a counter electrode 8 on substrates S, 7 of glass or the like, respectively. Electrically conductive transparent films of In2O3, SnO2, TIO (tin indium oxide) or the like are used as the electrodes 4, 4''', 8. Thin metallic films of Au, Al, Pd or the like may be used. Gate electrodes 1'', 1''' and source wires 3, 3' are made of a metal such as Al, Au, Ag, Pt, Pd or Cu. A light absorbing part 12 is formed in a resin layer 13. The resin of the layer 13 is required to have a function to control the orientation of a liq. crystal and stability to semiconductors 2, 2', 2'', 2''', and polyvinyl alcohol is preferably used as the resin. |
