PURPOSE:To quicken a rise of a fixing roller temperature, and also to reduce an overshoot by controlling a conduction of a fixing heater containing a fixing roller, and an auxiliary heater provided on the outside, as prescribed, respectively. CONSTITUTION:When a power source is turned on, first of all, an electric power is energized to a fixing heater containing a fixing roller. Subsequently, when a surface temperature of the fixing roller reaches the first set temperature T1 which is lower than the second set temperature T2 being suitable for fixing, an electric power is energized to an auxiliary heater provided on the outside of the fixing roller, as well. After the surface temperature of the fixing roller reaches the second set temperature T2, until a copy signal is inputted, the electric power is not energized to the auxiliary heater, and a temperature control of the fixing roller by only the fixing roller is executed. By executing a control in this way, a rise of a fixing roller temperature is quickened, and also an overshoot can be reduced. |
