PURPOSE:To improve an operability, to prevent effectively a developer from scattering, also to make a device simple and light, and to reduce the number of parts by using as a replenishing device a cartridge whose replenishing port can be installed and detached to and from a position opposed directly to a carrying body and a position separated from it. CONSTITUTION:¦As for a hopper 33, the hopper itself is a cartridge which seals up tightly a developer (a) in advance and can be replaced, and installed between a doctor blade 34 attached to a side frame 37 and a support 38. Also, a linear and rectangular replenishing port 39 running along the axial direction of a magnet roller 32 is provided on the lower end of the hopper 33. In this way, a replenishing device 33 is a cartridge whose replenishing port can be installed and detached to and from a position opposed directly to a carrying body 32 and a position separated from it, therefore, an operability is improved and scattering of a developer is prevented effectively. |
