摘要 PURPOSE:To reproduce accurately thermal stratification current on a field landform in an air tunnel with an economical device by providing the device with a means heating the surface of a landform model from its inside and positioning the landform model on the upper part of the air channel upside-down. CONSTITUTION:Horizontal air F is generated from an air blower 2 into the tunnel 1 and tracer gas is discharged from the landform model 3. Current is supplied to a heater 4 embedded in the landform model 3 to heat the surface of the medel 3. When the surface temperature is increased, the distribution A of air current temperature is made higher at its lower layer (upper part of the tunnel 1) than the upper layer (lower part of the tunnel 1) and the density of air in the lower layer close to the surface of the model 3 is reduced less than that of the upper layer, so that ascending current (descending current to the model 3) 6 along the surface of the model 3 is generated by the effect of gravity. Since the device shows the stable state of the field atmosphere, the reproducing range and reproducing accuracy of the test are sharply improved.
