Neoschizophyllan with triple, spirally-formed configuration consisting of basic units with the formulashowing anti-tumour effects; the substance is produced through ultrasonic treatment of a colloidal solution of schizophyllan in water at a frequency of 8-60 kHz without increasing the pH to a value greater than 10 and addition of a hydrophilic soluble chosen from a group of C1 - C3-alcohols, C3 - C5-ketones and tetrahydrofuran to an ultrasonically-treated water solution in an amount equal to 20 - 40 percentage by volume of the hydrophilic solution based on the total solution as well as the separation of the precipitated schizophyllans.
