PURPOSE:To concentrate the tool management in a limited area and perform the systematic tool management by automatically transporting necessary tools from central tool storage units to a machine tool by feed tool transport units and fitting or removing them from a main shaft. CONSTITUTION:Machining centers 1-3 are stored in special-tool storage rooms 13-15 respectively and machine a work fed by pallet carry-in conveyors 4-6 using reclaimed general-purpose and special tools for the next machining work. After the machining, the general-purpose tools requiring reclamation are sent to central tool storage rooms 18a-18b by return tool transport units 21a-21c. On the other hand, the reclaimed general-purpose tools are taken out of the storage rooms 18a, 18b by tool delivery units 19a, 19b, and are fed to storage units 13- 15 respectively by feed tool transport units 20a-20c. Thereby, human factors such as the tool management are concentrated in the tool rooms, etc., and the systematic tool management can be performed. |
