PURPOSE:To stop the uncontrollable combustion of a heater by a method wherein the deforming situation of a evaporator during the uncontrollable combustion of the heater is detected by an electrode arranged near the heater. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 3 is arranged beneath a cylindrical aluminum evaporator 2 die-cast with a heater 1 imbedded therein in order to detect the deforming situation of the evaporator 2 and connected to the inlet side of a combustion detection circuit A. Accordingly, when the heater 1 starts to uncontrollable combustion due to the trouble of a heater controller or the like, the evaporator 2 deforms itself by the heat developed in the heater 1, resulting in causing the evaporator 2 to contact with the electrode 3. An AC source 5 for the combustion detection is applied through a resistor 6 to a capacitor 7 by short-circuiting the electrode 3 and the evaporator 2, resulting in stopping the charging to the capacitor 7. After all, the minus potential of a comparator 14 does not rise and is still low, resulting in causing the output of the comparator to go to the ''1'' state and consequently turning a transistor 18 ON, exciting a relay 19, energizing to an ignition circuit 22 and at the same time energizing to an misfiring detection circuit 23. After the elapse of a predetermined period of time, the misfiring detection circuit 23 is put into action so as to open a contact in order to stop all actions and to extinguish flames. |
