PURPOSE:To enhance the working ability of cutting and as well to make it possible to firmly secure a cartridge to a chaiser block, by operating a clamp mechanism clamping hardware to press its inclined surface against an inclined surface of a cartridge so that the cartridge is firmly secured to the chaiser block. CONSTITUTION:A cartridge 15 is abutted at its one side surface against one side notch section 10a in a chaiser block 10, and is faced at the other side inclined surface to an inclined surface 18a of a clamp mechanism 18. In the front surface of the chaiser block 10, there is provided a quick tool change mechanism 19 for vertical moving the clamp mechanism 18 and securing the same. Accordingly, the clamp mechanism 18 is elevated by one touch due to the provision of the mechanism 19 so that the inclined surface 18a depresses the cartridge inclined surface 15a to secure the cartridge 15 under the wedge action between the inclined surfaces 18a, 15a. Upon cutting of a tapered thread by a chaiser 17 the cutting resistance urges the cartridge 15 to be fastened so that the securing of the cartridge 15 is further firmed. With this arrangement, the working time is shortened, and the cartridge may be firmly secured. |
