PURPOSE:To minimize the delay of sound to a picture in dubbing by constituting the device of the 1st switching circuit switching selectively an error check/error code addition circuit and a signal processing circuit at reproducing device side and the 2nd switching circuit switching selectively the connection to the 2nd external terminal and the circuit at a recording circuit. CONSTITUTION:A switching circuit 26 is changed over to the position of the error check/error code addition circuit 40 from the position of a time axis expanding circuit 23 in the dubbing mode. Thus, a PCM sound signal demodulated via a demodulation circuit 22 is inputted to an error check circuit 41. Then an error detection code is added to an error data included in the said sound signal by an error detection code addition circuit 43 and the result is outputted to the 1st external terminal 31. The sound is inputted to a modulation circuit 14 of a VTR (B) at the recording side via the 2nd external terminal 32 and the switching circuit 16. Thus, the delay of the sound to the picture is minimized.
