PURPOSE:To provide a solid lubricant consisting of modified graphite fluoride obtained by reacting graphite fluoride with an amine for partial defluorination and exhibiting an improved lubricating property and compatibility with resin. CONSTITUTION:The solid lubricant consists of modified graphite fluoride obtained by reacting graphite fluoride with an amine for partial defluorination. The graphite fluoride has a particle diameter of 0.01-100mu. In the reaction, the graphite fluoride should pref. be decomposed to a decomposition ratio of 0.01- 50%. When the decomposition ratio is lower than 0.01% no sufficient effect is obtainable, while when it exceeds 50%, decomposition requires a long time and the lubricating property is lowered. The decomposition ratio is calculated by the equation [where X1 is the fluorine content of graphite fluoride (GF) before treatment with amine and X2 is that after the treatment]. |
