PURPOSE:To make measurement available regardless of range of measurement, by performing detection while rotation of a light beam emitted from a moving body and of reflected beams from corner cubic prisms installed in three and more set positions apart from the moving body. CONSTITUTION:From a moving body M a light beam to be scanned during rotation is emitted and by receiving reflected beams of an incident beam from said corner cubic prisms 1, 2, 3, 4 respectively, azimuth angles of each corner cubic prisms 1, 2, 3, 4 with respect to a moving body V is detected. The measuring apparatus is provided with half-mirror 8 and light receiver 9 for detecting the reflected lights from said corner cubic prisms 1, 2, 3, 4. By this arrangement, position measurement is available with sufficiently high accuracy regardless of the given range of measurement. |
