PURPOSE:To stabilize the magnetic characteristics and to increase the magnetic permeability by providing an auxiliary core made of a ferrite thin plate of high permeability on a thin film formed on the rear side surface of a magnetic core including its rear gap. CONSTITUTION:A ferrite thin plate 6 of high permeability is attached onto the rear side surface including a rear gap 5 of amorphous alloy thin films 3 and 3' of a magnetic core. This plate 6 functions as an auxiliary core and covers up the defect of a main core made of the films 3 and 3'. In other words, the plate 6 can increase the magnetic permeability and reduce the coercive force. In such a way, a protecting nonmagnetic substrate is provided contiguous to an auxiliary core on a thin film formed on a front side surface including a front gap to gether with the auxiliary core made of a ferrite thin plate of high permeability. This can increase the magnetic permeability, reduce the coercive force and improve the magnetic recording/reproducing characteristics respectively. |
