PURPOSE:To efficiently operate stably a water wheel and a generator by controlling the output discharge amount of the generator to a dummy load to control the rotating speed, and lowering the generator voltage proportionally to the rotating speed when the rotating speed is decreased to the rated speed or lower. CONSTITUTION:An automatic speed regulator 5 controls a thyristor 6 in response to the deviation between the rotating speed of an AC generator 2 from a rotating speed detector 3 and the speed set signal, thereby controlling the output supplied to a dummy load 7 from the generator 2. When the water quantity becomes the operable minimum water quantity or lower, the rotating speed of the generator 2 becomes the rated speed and lower even if the output to the load 7 becomes 0. At this time, an automatic voltage setter 11 decreases the set voltage value as the rotating speed decreases, thereby reducing the output voltage of the generator 2. In this manner, the water wheel and the generator can be efficiently operated stably. |
