PURPOSE:To improve operability, by a method wherein, in an electronic duplicator provided with cassettes for sheets being different in size, when a document is set to a document table, the size thereof is detected, and a cassette having the same size as that of the document is selected to perform feed of the sheets. CONSTITUTION:First - fourth collecting elements 31-34, which detect documents 8 sized to be, for example, A4, B4, A3, are embedded in the under surface of a platen cover 4 of a document table 2 mounted reciprocably in the directions of arrow marks A and B on the upper part of a duplicator body 1 and in 4 desired spots positioned opposite to a lamp 6 for exposure disposed below a document irradiating port 5. Cassettes 14 and 15 sized to be, for example, A4 and B4, are mounted on the upper and the lower stage of the sheet feeding part of the electronic duplicator body 1, and when a document 2, sized to be, for example, A4, is set as expected and a start button is depressed, an upper feed roller 16 is rotated through a control circuit, and control is effected such that sheets with a size of A4 are supplied from a sheet cassette 14. |
