PURPOSE:To strongly bond exterior parts comprising sapphire, ceramics or inorg. glass and to attain to reduce the thickness of a timepiece, by forming a metal layer to exterior parts for a timepiece while fixing the same through a metal piece. CONSTITUTION:A metal layer 2 is formed to exterior parts for a timepiece such as a dial of a substrate 1 comprising sapphire, ceramics or inorg. glass by vapor deposition. This layer and a metal piece 3 being a securing piece are bonded by solder 4 and the substrate 1 is strongly bonded and fixed while a packing or a clamp screw becomes unnecessary. As a result, the thickness of a timepiece can be reduced. |
