PURPOSE:To enable easily the titled device to produce multi-stage formation of press- formed articles uniform in size by providing a mechanism which offsets automatically the own weight of each stage with high accuracy in accordance with the change in the angle between each press plate and a connecting rod supporting pivotally said plate. CONSTITUTION:Works are charged between press plate 10 in each stage. When a movable plate 6 is moved by a compression cylinder 8 toward a stationary plate 2, the angle theta of rods 16 with the vertical direction changes and the angle of pressure regulating valves 50 with the perpendicular direction is changed by as much as the same by a parallelogram angular link mechanism. The relief pressure of the valves 50 increases on the consequent increase in the angle theta and the increased liquid pressure is transmitted through pipelines 20 to respective hoisting cylinders 18, by which the hoisting force of the cylinders 18 is increased to increase the vertical component of the hoisting force of the cylinders to the magnitude balancing with the weights of the plates 10 and the works to be pressed at all times irrespectively of the change in the angle theta. The own weight of the press plates 6, etc. is thus offset with high accuracy and the equal pressurizing force is acted on said works in each stage, by which the products having a uniform size are obtd. |
