PURPOSE:To detect wrong printing simply at low cost using test printing, by a method wherein test printing patterns constituted by superposition of dot and character dot in ink liquid drop of prescribed colors is performed. CONSTITUTION:Ink of cyan, yellow, magenta, black colors is solidly thrown out of all nozzles thereby undercoating regions 1C, 1Y, 1M, 1Bk are formed. The undercoating region 1Bk is provided with character 2W of letter B in while color. Characters of Y, M, C are further printed on the undercoating regions 1C, 1Y, 1M using ink of yellow, magenta, cyan colors respectively, and in superposition with colors of the undercoating regions characters 2G (green), 2R (red), 2B (blue) are formed. Colors of these characters 2G, 2R, 2B are confirmed by visual inspection thereby state of the ink nozzles can be checked. |
